The source leaves the DAW, moves through a specific outboard path of your choice, and comes back as your hardware-processed version—printed through highest quality converters, preamps, equalizers, compressors and other professional hardware.

A file can be a single source, a grouped bus, a stem or the complete stereo mix.
A grouped bus can contain multiple tracks summed into one two-channel stereo file. For example, with drums — keep the drums together as one file, or export the kick, snare, percussion and room separately.
Similar choices apply to your other instruments and grouped sources throughout the production.
Keep related sources together when you want one shared character. Separate them when each deserves its own blending path.

Modern music can begin anywhere and live almost entirely inside a computer. Plugins, virtual instruments, samples, AI tools, editing, automation and recall make it possible to move quickly without giving up control, which is fantastic.
Classic Take
If you are using a plugin designed to model a specific piece of real hardware—for example, a Tube-Tech or LA-2A-style processor—its matching controls can give us a useful starting reference.
Include the hardware model, plugin name, screenshot and control positions in your customer notes, and we can configure the corresponding real hardware to your taste.
Modern Take
Modern digital processors that are not modelled after a specific piece of hardware work differently. For example, a FabFilter compressor may be exactly the right tool for your production, but there is no physical FabFilter compressor whose settings can be transferred control for control. Hence, an open canvas to put your own highest-quality signature turned on.
